Good Kitchen Paint Colors With White Appliances

  • Before one can answer that what color is the floor and countertop, kitchen table etc?

  • Not yet 😞 Okay, my coutertop is a tan pinkish color and floor tan color. I will try to send a picture.

  • The only thing I would do is pick a light color but it sounds like your choices are many because white and tan are so neutral. Pale aqua, seafoam green, pale gold or yellow but not white that would be too much white.

  • There are 4 color you must decide on the cabinets are white. The color of the floor and the color of the counter top and backsplash. must be picked. If open to the family room pull some colors from there. The color of the rug or flooring can be used but don't make it to matchy matchy . Get some samples and then decide.

  • Go to Home Depot and look at the great cabinet displays they have. Pick one you like and match the paint.

  • I'd like to know the color of the backsplash - if you have one & what color the adjoining rooms are. However, in my opinion (if your kitchen is small), painting the cabinets a creamy white (warm white to blend with the pink/tan) will make the kitchen appear larger as it'll give a more "seamless" look. If you paint a contrasting color, the white appliances will "pop out" more. Hopefully, you can give us more information to go on before trying to help you. Do you have an eat-in kitchen? What color is the kitchen table & chairs? What color are your curtains or blinds? What is the wall color in the kitchen & abutting rooms?

  • Bought a new older home, orig. brown kit. cabinets (25-30 yrs.?) and not a good grade of wood, copper handles were o.k. with new paint treatment, change to your liking. Painted a med. grey chalk paint (Annie Sloan, Paris Grey & used her light wax to finish) and the simple shaker-type frame was then accented over the grey with a white lime wax, simple but incredible subtle contrast, white appliances were in place and newer so not an option for replacement. Floor a light tan tile (non-descript) and counter tops flecked tan shades, also blended in. Removed red wallpaper, textured the walls and under counter areas with joint compound, painted it a Behr "Rice Cracker" color. Opens to other rooms painted with deep burlap wall color, works great! Contemporary and traditional all at once, very smart and clean appearance. Window frames over sink area white with white plantation shutters. Totally recommend the look. Jo McGee, Phoenix

  • With white appliances. White cupboards look Great!

  • Thanks for all the suggestions. Maybe this will help better. The house was built in 2006. I like color the walls are this beige yellow with white appliances

  • We went with a soft dusty blue. We have all white appliances with cabinetry that we recently repainted white. Since the previous owners installed black granite countertops, I was in a dilemma to decide which way to go without replacing the beautiful counter tops and decided to use the black as an accent point. We went with a vintagey 'farmhouse kitchen' approach. I hung a vintage style 'lantern' ceiling fixture, an oil rubbed bronze over the sink wall sconce, oil rubbed bronze cabinet hardware and other small accents in the oil-rubbed bronze. We went with a dusty blue wall paint, since I have an extensive collection of cobalt blue depression glass that is displayed on the kitchen window sills to catch the natural light, blue and white checked valances over the double window. Our kitchen is open to our living room and we have painted the living room a barely there pink (called 'blush') to avoid overwhelming the adjoining spaces with too much blue. In reality, your preferred style and other furnishings might dictate a better color for you.
